We have just moved back to the CWA Hall - where it all started. It is like returning home.
This year Easter coincided with our 4th Birthday party - it was great to share it with all our clogging friends
Heeler's Hoedown was an amazing mix of talented live musicians and dancers who were prepared to go outside of their normal comfort zones.
We have to thank everyone who participated and everyone who assisted in making it such a wonderful event.
There will be fond memories!!!
I have never danced so much at a Clogging event and all I can say - is those 'Mountain Folk' must be mighty fit - I was sore for several days afterwards.
Anyway - if you missed the event and want to see what happened - here are some videos.
Clogging Dance Classes are now held at the Studio at Pinnacle Physiotherapy on Wednesday Nights.
Our new Address is: 1/196 Lords Place Orange NSW 2800
We hope to see you there - remember your first night is free!
Graeme and Roxy (our youngest student) blew out the candles together.
(We had a Hawaiian theme for this party)
Happy 3rd Birthday to us!!!!
Graeme and Shelby cut the ice-cream cake.
Is it really two years since we started the club? - Yep it sure is and we hope to have many more birthday's yet.
(Well it was hot and we just turned 2, so we thought ice-cream was appropriate.)
Meg Van Lohuizen
"I have been clogging since 2003, when I was 5 years old. Since then, I have achieved my teaching accreditation and have been teaching clogging for 4 years. This passion of mine, shared by many others, is fun, energetic and it's great for fitness and memory. The style of dance is easy to learn and you will be surrounded by great people. After recently moving for my studies, I look forward to introducing new faces to the world of clogging! - Meg Van Lohuizen"
The next Beginner Dance classes will start on Wednesday 3 February 2016.
Make the commitment to that New Year's Resolution to get fit and learn how to clog!
Classes will start at 6:30pm at the CWA Hall, Robertson Park, Byng St Orange
Wear some comfortable shoes (no thonggs) and bring some friends (you don't need a partner) and have a fabulous evening!!!!
We like to involve our Student's families at the end of year party. So they can get up and dance if they want to too.
You see they hear so much about clogging from our students through out the year - we want them to have some fun too!!!.
Here we are doing a special dance.
Some of our students attended the 20th Australian National Clogging Convention held at Gosford NSW in September 2015.
This is our new Blue Heeler Cloggers
Over 300 Cloggers from Australia and around the world attended this fantastic weekend of dancing.
We have reached a huge milestone - Our First Birthday Party!!
......and our student numbers are still growing.
We cant wait to see what happens in the rest of the year.
Happy Birthday to us, and Hip Hip Hooray!!
For our first End of Year Party - we called upon the talents of some of our cloggers to make it a real celebration.
We had a fantastic sing-along and it was stated that maybe we could even become the "singing cloggers" - well that might have to wait for just a while because we have too much clogging to do
- however we did enjoy ourselves on the night.
Our Easter Party was really successful and I don’t think I have seen so many bunny tails in one xlocation before. Thanks to everyone who got into the spirit of Easter
Dance week 3rd to 11th May
Was another event we celebrated.
Blue Heeler Cloggers are certainly into to having fun!!!!
The wet weather didnt stop Orange from clogging. However it did dampen our numbers with several people unable to attend on our first night.
But beginner classes were in full swing when this photo was taken.
We couldnt even fit all the people in the photo.
Beginner classes are continuing to be held.
Dont be bashful - come and see what we do - you can even give it a try.
Remember your first night is free.
For more information - look at our page on Class Times and Information.
The recent Experience Orange Expo saw the successful launch of Blue Heeler Cloggers.
We were supported by fellow cloggers who came from interstate and several hours away - just to assist us with our demonstrations.
Shelby said " Several people advised us that they came to Expo just to see us clogging, but we couldnt have done it without the help of our clogging friends - they were great!"
Graeme said "We were surprised by the number of people who were interested in signing up for classes".
So far, quite a few men have indicated that they would like to clog with us, along with lots of females.
Clogging is obviously now going to be a part of regional NSW.
In the future we hope to post some photos of our first pupils.
We'd like to thank the Orange Daybreak Rotary Club for facilitating this fantastic event.
Blue Heeler Cloggers will be offically launched at the Exprience Orange Expo being held on Sunday 16/3/14 from 9am till 4pm at the PCYC club, Seymour St, Orange NSW.
We will be holding performances throughout the day at 10am; 11:30am and 1:30pm
If you are a clogger and would like to help demonstrate at this event - please contact us.
